MGSM’s Dadasaheb Dr. Suresh G. Patil College, Chopda received funds of Rs 58 lakhs for the improvement of S&T infrastructure (FIST) grant, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi. The grant was sanctioned in April 2023. The college has developed a Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) with an area of 550 sq. ft. and has purchased 10 sophisticated instruments from the above grant. The college has established data servers, UPS support and high-speed 100 MB internet connectivity with OFC fibre.

The CIF is utilised by teaching faculty, research scholars, and postgraduate and undergraduate students, and also benefits faculty and researchers of other colleges and universities. The facility aims to promote quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation and scientific excellence. The Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) Laboratory was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. L. Maheshwari, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), Jalgaon. The establishment of this facility marks a significant milestone in strengthening the institution’s research infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
